This snake shouldn't have chosen the centipede almost the size of itself for breakfast. Apparently, this nose-horned viper tried to eat a centipede but ends up with death.

Apparently, it looks like the viper was able to initially eat the centipede. However, once it was swallowed, the centipede tried to claw its way out of the viper's stomach. It nearly succeeded.

However, the 15cm-long centipede apparently almost make it completely to safety, both of the animals were already dead when found.

Researchers writing in the Ecologica Montenegrina said that the snake wildly underestimated its prey, and paid a fatal price after the invertebrate ate through its digestive organs.

The scientists in Macedonia were able to confirm this story because most of the snake's vital organs were missing when they examined it.

"The prey has eaten its way through the snake, almost reaching its freedom," Serbian herpetologist Ljiljana Tomovic said, according to Discovery.com.

The scientists in Macedonia were able to confirm this story because most of the snake's vital organs were missing when they examined it. The centipede was eating the snake inside out, literally.
