Recently, on the morning show "LIVE with Kelly and Michael", the talk show hosts made mention of the staggering amount of money made by a certain particular feline-friend-turned-internet-sensation (See #3 below).

The money made by this cat, in a fairly short time frame, is more than most people can even fathom!

If you have any pulse on popular culture at all, you have likely already guessed just who this insanely popular cat is.

What you may not know, however, is that THAT cat isn't necessarily the only cat to have ever realized a level of riches and fame that would make some HUMAN celebrities cower with amazement.

Below are 5 cats who, along with their owners, are earning much more than most of us will ever earn!

#1.) Tara, The Hero Cat

You may have heard of Tara, the Hero Cat.

In mid-May 2014, this California resident cat came to the rescue of 4-year old Jeremy Triantafilo, who was just attempting to ride his bike when a neighborhood dog viciously attacked his leg. Not particularly interested in allowing such a violent act to occur, you can see Tara passionately dart from the right side of this video to drive the unsuspecting predator away.

Tara's actions that day were certainly brave, courageous, and downright heroic. As a result, her popularity literally catapulted.

Not only was she the star of the first ever YouTube video to earn 20 million views in 5 days, but her public appearances have garnered anywhere from $55,600-$463,700 a piece!

But, what came of the dog?

After much heated sentiment arising and exchanged after the incident, this dog--otherwise known as "Scrappy"--was euthenized ("put down") less than 2 weeks later. (The incident occurred on May 13th, 2014, and he was euthenized on May 24th, 2014.)

#2.) Two Talking Cats

It is absolutely amazing to see just how valuable (and viral) a simple conversation between cats can become. In this video, of two talking cats, they exchange some sort of dialogue. Though one can only guess about what it is that they are actually talking about, two things are for certain: people absolutely LOVE this kind of stuff, and these cats (errr...their owner, I should say) are really raking in the dough!

With nearly 50,000,000 views on their conversing cat video, and rumors of earnings of generally between $8,500-$70,700 a month, their rise to fame has been truly remarkable!

#3.) Grumpy Cat

Even though Grumpy Cat's introduction to internet fame came when a picture of her was posted on Reddit on September 22nd, 2012, it is (still) nearly impossible to visit the online world without stumbling across images of Grumpy Cat.

Indeed, she has become almost as much of a permanent fixture to popular culture as Disney's movie "Frozen" has become.

What has ensued, for Grumpy Cat (and her owner, Tabatha Bundesen), has been an illustrious--and lucrative-- career. With an agent, and now a movie deal, various internet websites have tracked Grumpy Cat's rapid realization of enormous riches.

It is said that, as of December 2014, Grumpy Cat has now made in excess of $100,000,000!

I can't imagine that her earnings would be quite as staggering had she maintained her real name "Tardar Sauce".

#4.) Maru

YouTube feline sensation, Maru, has had his YouTube videos viewed in excess of 200,000,000 times (as of April 2013), with each video averaging roughly 800,000 views each.

Indeed, the views on his owner's videos indicate that people, the world over, have absolutely fallen in love with the quirky creativity of Maru.

It is estimated that these videos earn Maru's owner nearly $21,800-$181,600 per month!

With only generally a cardboard box, serving as a prop in his videos, this is truly an incredibly low budget video endeavor, indeed.

#5.) Keyboard Cat

In this video of "Keyboard Cat", the cat, otherwise known by the owner as the eloquent name "Fatso", appears to be embracing a heightened level of musical prowess and passion that only a seasoned pianist can.

Though I'd love to say that this cat was conducting this musical feat all on his own, the truth is that Fatso's arms were being manipulated, by his owner, underneath the baby blue garment he was wearing.

Even still, though Fatso did sadly pass way in 1987, he has still managed to earn his owners roughly $21,100-$175,800 a month!
