The simple allure of Australia is the friendly people, outback dining, and beautiful open scenery. The dark side of Australia, that people don’t want you to know about, are all the animals that could turn your carefree vacation into an experience reserved for a horror movie. Just imagine confronting one of these bad boys! Would you stand a chance?
While not Australian themselves, Schwarzenegger and Stallone didn’t demonstrate quite this much muscular finesse even in their glory days. Just look at this python lift this humble wallaby from the water!
Isn’t this quite a sight? Australia is literally the only place I know of where a casual outing to the mall can quickly escalate into a proverbial face-off with a massive snake. If you insist on vacationing in Australia, your safest bet is just to stay in doors. For as long as possible. (And, even THAT may not be a safe, as you will see next!)
As if encountering a snake at a shopping mall wasn't enough, don’t be surprised if you come face-to-face with one of these formidable foes at your most sacred and esteemed of locales: your very own bathroom. Look at how this snake literally ascended the plumbing system to the top of this toilet! This is certain danger that I would never want to expose my bum to. Still interested in visiting Australia? I think I’ll pass.
So far in this article, we’ve seen snakes do it all. They’ve proven they can dominate a wombat, engulf a Wallaby, and the local shopping malls can’t keep them out. At this point, I just wouldn't test them.
No longer are these the friendly skies. Seemingly land animals, in Australia snakes even dominate the sky!
Is that a golf course I see? Go figure. Only in Australia.
Nothing beats the harmonious unification of a surfer’s board, with a perfectly timed wave. Except, throw a shark into the mix. That’s when things can get messy, and surfers know it. In fairness, though, Australia isn't the only place where you will find sharks that are longing to feast on the slightest open wound—surfer or not.
In a battle between a shark and a crocodile, I don’t know who would win, however, I definitely wouldn’t want to be around to find out. This crocodile looks like he is awaiting his next meal--human or notl.
This crocodile made it in the paper. I can’t help but wonder what is actually happening in this picture, but whatever is happening, it is probably just one more reason to take visiting Australia off your bucket list.
That crocodile could be you. I would highly advise staying away from Australia!
I’m not so sure that a snake could eat the truck or the building in this picture, but I wouldn't want to be around to see how it handles that crocodile…or, gulp, that woman.
Ticks aren't pleasant creatures, no matter where in the world you may encounter them. Even still, Australia seems to have quite a surplus of them. Ticks are just another reason to take Australia off your bucket list!
Fear of spiders is one of the most common phobias known to man. If you are one of those individuals who suffers from a fear of spiders (and, even if you are not) you certainly won't be doing yourself any favors if you insist on visiting Australia!
Getting bitten by something that is poisonous usually isn't an incredibly big deal, especially if you don't have a horrible reaction and their are anti-toxins available. Unfortunately, there are no known anti-toxins for this octopi's lethal poison.
